Job Description

Data Management & analysis support     

  • Call for, collate and organize retention data from multiple schools into clear, accessible formats
  • Working with the Project Leader, transform raw data into meaningful views that enable strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate databases and tracking systems for exit interviews and retention initiatives – ensuring information is accurate, current and easily accessible.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting

    

General Administrative Duties

  • Provide general administrative support to the Retention team, including data entry, filing, and document management
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of large national retention projects, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Co-ordinate with school retention committees to gather required information.
  • Prepare and format documents, reports, and presentations using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Maintain organized filing systems (digital and hard copy) for the Retention team.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the Retention office and projects.

 

Ad-hoc Admin Duties

  • Support the implementation of retention initiatives through administrative co-ordination.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as may be assigned
Key Skills / Requirements
  • South African youth between 18 and 34 years old.
  • Must be previously unemployed.
  • Tertiary qualification (Degree or diploma)
  • Qualifications in office administration or related fields
  • 2 years’ experience as an Administrative Clerk or similar role
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a corporate or project-based environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to think clearly and methodically, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly in English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
